Survival is a mindset and is not achieved by simply checking the block. We must test not only our equipment but our physical capabilities through endurance and practical application. Emergency preparedness isn’t achieved by stocking up on essential items. It is achieved by having access to those items and being able to use them effectively. This year has shown us natural and manmade disasters are a threat to our personal security and safety. One should ask themselves how prepared they actually are to endure 48-72 hours in the elements. After departing this course, you will leave with the capability to do just that.
